Monday evening, June 7th at 7:00 will be our next web dojo. Full details at
http://www.dsmwebgeeks.com
Our theme for this meeting will be improving a site's perceived performance
through the use of Javascript. I think it will be fun and practical for
everyone. if you're a UI person, a coder, or are into the psychology of
interfaces then I think you'll enjoy it. We're trying (and getting better
at, I think) making the challenges interesting for all types of web geeks
(which is why we're not calling them code dojos any more).
What is a web dojo? It's a collaborative learning event. We split up into
random groups where we each bring our unique skills and experiences to bear
in on a problem. At the end of the evening we compare notes to see how each
group tackled the challenge. Everyone learns something new and it gives you
an excuse to break away from the way you've always done things in the past.
I hope to see you there! (and also, please help spread the word)
