[Cialug] graphical `write`?

Pidgin is by far my favorite client for all protocols, and it has the
benefit of having a CLI version. There have been times that I have been
in a server room with no cell reception, so I SSH into my desktop
workstation, fireup the CLI client -- which uses the same preferences as
my GUI client and then IMd a coworker.


It works slick, and is not limited to XMPP in case the user you are
trying to reach does not have an XMPP client.
