[Cialug] Meeting this week

No, no one did, sorry.
When talking it over with Theron, since we were discussing the internal configuration of some pretty major infrastructure for a business, we weren't comfortable recording it without permission from the company.
However, I'm sure that Theron would be glad to tell the story again over a beer or nine. :)
Sorry,

Theron,
You comfortable being recorded?
Everyone else,
Anyone want to record Theron and have a decent way to do so?

As a reminder, we are having the first Linux Users Group meeting of 2011 this Wednesday. The place is the same as usual, from 7 to 9, at Alliance Technologies... however, we may have a pre-meeting to visit Matt at the nearby Mercy hospital, if he's still there. More on this as the day approaches.
The de-factor topic of our meeting is office on Linux, so we can talk about OpenOffice vs LibreOffice.... but only after a PRESENTATION. That's right folks, we actually have a presentation this month. Our long and randomly-absent friend Theron is going to show up and tell us about the cool stuff he's been doing with building a new virtualization offering for his employer.
Once that's done, and everyone has finished teasing Theron about his recent absences, we can talk about office, the Novell buyout and what it means for SUSE, and why 2011 will still not be the year of the Linux desktop.
Hope to see many of you there.
