[Cialug] OT, .. gmail oddity??

I had a similar once...

Double check the SMTP username that is entered in Gmail - Settings >
Accounts and Import > Send mail as > user at domain.com :: edit info > [double
check the reply-to address here] :: Next Step. Make sure the username is
correct on this step. My problem was that I was sending under the SMTP
account tied to the account my host created originally, and not the SMTP
account I had created. Usernames were very similar, so I kept overlooking
it.

If you've done that already, yay! If you've done that already... sorry. :/

Subject: [Cialug] OT, .. gmail oddity??

Have a user that uses a server setup to relay through gmail - the
server logs into gmail with <servername at domain.com>, .. and the user
has his own email setup as <user at domain.com>. Checking his email
client settings, it appears that all instances of his 'identity' are
properly set to <user at domain.com>, but his, and only his, emails are
coming through from "user name" <servername at domain.com> instead of
<user at domain.com> (i.e. the return email address is the server gmail
account, *NOT* the user email)!

The mail log entries seem to show proper operation:

Nov 24 12:36:51 <servername> postfix/qmgr[4262]: AE7108DE: removed

Has anyone experienced this sort of gmail oddity or have I perhaps
missed something?

	Lee
