Try finding supplies that are '80 plus certified'. I started using that as a
yardstick a few years ago, and none of the 80 plus units have failed yet
(although one is outside spec on it's -5V line now..). My theory was the
manufacturers could not meet the requirements with cheap components, thereby
filtering the selection process for quality. While this may have changed as
they encourage their engineers to find ways to meet the requirements with
cheap parts, lowering the proverbial bar*, it may still be a helpful filter.
