[Cialug] DSL and wireless

Yes. The PCMCIA 350 card is plugged into the slot. I can get some information that indicates the card is plugged in but it does not seem to absolutely confirm that it is a Aironet 350 card.
If I fire up Windows on the same laptop it recognizes the card.

I appologize for the lack of information but I am not that knowledgeable of Linux operation. Most of my experience has been Windows related. I am still trying to learn Linux and have not had any experience of adding new devices that were not detected during install. That is why I chose this card since DSL indicated it was basically plug and play.

Not sure how to answer this for sure. I can attach this laptop to my home network with a cable. I just can't get it to recognize either the internal wireless card or the PCMCIA card that I plugged in.
It never gets to the point where it would assign or pick up an IP address.

I will try to fire it up again this evening if I get back at a reasonable time and provide the kernel version. I worked last night until after 10:00 PM.
