[Cialug] fix resolution and refresh on Xubuntu

lspci says Display Controller: Intel 82830 CGC

All the suggestions to install this and that distribution instead are pretty
moot, as I don't have a functional optical drive, and I can't boot from USB.
I installed xubuntu on this a year or 2 ago before the optical drive died.
