It costs nothing to apply; if you want it, go for it. Remember, you're
not competing against the job req, you're competing against who and what
ever else decides to go for it as well.

Mismatch, I'd say. CS is about algorithmic design and theory; IT is
more like a trade, in that "this is how it's done." Not that I expect
the HR department to know or care. :-)

"Home User" tends to generally mean "enthusiast." Not generally a
positive trait when it's your only qualification.

You know the relevant parts, then. Framing it like this makes it sound
like you don't; consider how you want to sell yourself. :-)

Good experience! If you paid attention, you know most of the relevant
details; enough to get started, anyway. But again, think about how
you're framing it. Drop the "once" and "really did" descriptors; and
its POTS, not "household telephone line." Sounds more professional that
way. ;-)

If you're doing the intense routing/switching work, it's likely that
they'd have a specific role for that job; this one isn't it. :-) If I
had to guess I'd say it's a small company, so you're most likely golden.
