Follow up...

My linux intall is now running flash video (Hulu, Youtube) better now, 
since the latest update, now at flash-player-plugin-10.0.45.2-1plf2010.0 
on Mandriva with PLF (Penguin Liberation Front) repos. I watched 
Zatoichi - The Blind Swordsman movie on Hulu with no playback issues at all.
