I use CentOS exclusively on all of my linux servers.
We use samba, qmail, scalix, zarafa, openvpn, openldap, radius, asterisk, oracle, nagios, openfire all on CentOS. With the exclusion of openfire, none of these services are "toy services". It has been very stable for us.
