That's what i was wondering. Sarge hasn't gotten security updates in
nearly 2 years. It's probably easier to upgrade to Etch, and then
(optionally) to Lenny. If i'm not mistaken, Etch is still available as
"oldstable", so that path shouldn't be too painful. Once the next
release happens and Etch falls off completely, then i'd guess it would
be easiest just to reinstall.
I have a machine that was originally installed with Sarge and is
currently running Lenny. Both upgrades (to Etch, to Lenny) went very
smoothly. Just be sure to follow the upgrade instructions in the release
notes.
