I have to note that three out of the four replies did not actually address the requested solution and that no one stepped forward to help the requester.
This does not help with the Linux user stereotype.
Does anyone out there feel like actually assisting the person asking for help, whether it's via dual booting or (if the unknown hardware supports it) virtualbox / vmware player?

Install Windows under VirtualBox? No need for dual boot complexities.
Assuming that the computer supports virtualization and neither battery life nor heat are concerns. (because even if you have the virtualization instructions battery life is halved when running a VM)
