[Cialug] TroubleMaker

Oh, right. That makes sense.
TroubleMaker is an open source project I started back in 2004 when I was going after my RHCE. It worked wonderfully, but since then, I've used the SUSE line almost exclusively and didn't pay as much attention to Red Hat... so the project stalled out a bit. There are a fair number of folks that are bugging me about updating it to RHEL5, and since a lot of folks here seem to want to update their Linux skills, it seemed like a good match.
The app, in a nutshell, breaks your system and lets you try to fix it. It randomly selects one of it's "trouble scripts" and applies it, then gives you a pithy and incomplete explanation of the problem (to duplicate the sort of information you're likely to get from a user). It's great for practicing for the RHCE exam, but it's also great for getting some experience fixing problems without the stress of having users breathing down your neck.
I'm looking for people to, first, test the existing trouble scripts on modern systems and let me know what needs updating. Secondly, they can update the scripts. Third, they can write new ones. Last, if they want, they can help me work on the engine. I have some ideas that might make it more useful... but that's low priority.
For time commitment, it can take as little as 10 minutes to test a script, so I'm not looking for much. Whatever people can give will be better than what I've got now. For skill level, I'm also not picky. Scripts can be written in Shell, Perl, Python, Ruby, or whatever you like, so long as you write the appropriate config file (it has environment checks so it doesn't run a Ruby script on a system lacking Ruby). While I'd like people to push their boundaries on this project (best way to learn), I understand if folks are hesitant about leaping directly into a programming gig... so I have to stress, this really isn't programming unless you want it to be.
Does that make sense?

Context on TroubleMaker for those of us who were not at the meeting or
didn't read the right thread would be nice.
