You'd probably be correct. Google has already demonstrated that it can 
and will gather intelligence from, and apply filters and shunts to, 
user/customer communications when doing so is profitable.

The interesting issue of trust /worthiness/ is one that (IMO) everyone 
can and should resolve for themselves with considerable care. :)
