Ok, so I was on the list a while ago, then got off it, and am now back on.
Great to be back.
First order of business - anyone interested in buying some old hardware?
I've got a bunch of stuff in various states of repair/dis-repair out of our
datacenter. I'll list the best and brightest stuff first :
Dell Powervault 220S - Dual Ultra160 controllers, 6 good 72GB HDD's, 2 bad
72GB HDD's, and caddy's for the other 7 drive bays.
Dell Poweredge 2350 - Dual P3 1.16ghz procs (i think, could be 1.4's but I'm
not positive) 512MB RAM, onboard SCSI and 2 15k RPM 18.2GB hot swap drives.
OOOOOLD coyote point equalizer - HDD is dead, board/proc/mem is good, and
case is beautiful - 3U case w/ 200W ATX power supply.
2- 2U servers, dual P3 800's w/ 512MB RAM, some have drives, some don't.
A bevy of Promise 2 port SATA RAID cards. Mostly PCI, one or two PCI-E
Several old 3U servers - unknown condition. Cases are fine, systems are
unknown working order.
4 - 1U pizza box servers - several are without boards/power supplies. As is
condition.
4 - APC Masterswitches - moved everything into a bladecenter, don't need
them anymore.
That's most of it - shoot me an offer if you're interested in anything
above.
On to the second order of business that I've got -
Looking to install a linux blade in our bladecenter. We will be using this
blade (see link below) and we want to iSCSI boot - how well does CentOS 5
deal with iSCSI boot, and is there anything I should be watching out for?
