[Cialug] Replacing a Palm

I second that. I really liked my Blackberry (hardware issues caused
me to replace it and I hate the phone that I got).
It sync's with Windows and Mac easily enough, there are some great
howtos on using Barry(?) to sync on Linux, it syncs Calendar,
Contacts, and of course mail with Google, supports IMAP/POP3 for mail,
and if you feel so inclined has Blackberry Unite, a free application
for personal use that acts as a mini Exchange server that you run
yourself and allows control for up to 5 Blackberries. Great for
families that want to share address books and calendars.
My only strong complaint about Blackberry is the lack of support for
developing your own apps on anything but Windows.

Have you considered blackberry? Very palm-like in basic
functionality. Not as many loadable apps but some of the favorites
are available. Can play media and has stereo Bluetooth. Has strong
email and web capability.
Probably not as shiny as some of the other phones you are looking at
but I just thought I'd throw it out there.
