[Cialug] Google Wave

I've had google wave for about a month now, but haven't played with it
much. It's not for not trying, but it just seems rather useless. I don't
think it'll replace "classic" email (at least not in its current form) as it
doesn't have the same kind of features as email, and doesn't interact across
different (read "non-google") servers. Email is really about the protocol,
not the client. Wave is pretty much entirely about the client. It's an
entirely different product.
I suppose it could be useful for very specific kinds of project
collaboration, but it seems that one would be better suited to integrate
several of the features of Wave into some kind of Office suite than to build
a separate product around collaboration that doesn't directly integrate
(maybe that's coming in the future).
To be fair I haven't watched the video (I just don't have a spare hour and
ten minutes for a tool nobody is using yet), so I might not quite understand
all that its designed for yet.
