So, even if people weren't forced to choose Windows (new computer)
they'd still choose it?  Then I don't have to assume that they're
making the choice.  It turns out the same either way.

I, too, dream sometimes that a computer can be an appliance.  It's
unfortunate that it can't.

You're money ahead.  But I hold out hope that that kind of BS will put
an enterprising Linux company money ahead by fixing it.
