VMWARE NOOB ?'s

Okay so I've built a new system with an Intel Pentium D Dual Core 3.6GHZ 4MB/800 960 SL9AP 64 bit
Intel D945GTP Mobo.
4 Gb RAM
Netgear FX310 NIC

I've downloaded VMWare ESXi 4 for 64 bit.

System boots the CDROM but as soon as it gets through the initial steps it comes to
Failed to load TPM
Failed to load LVMDRIVER

And the ride is over at that point.

I tried changing the NIC to an Intel Pro 100 with the same results.
Changed NIC from suggestion in VMWare Knowledge Base.

Any ideas where to look or whats next.
Google isn't being real friendly with the search for it as yet.
