[Cialug] Ubuntu Live CD Issues

Stupid questions:

1) Have you tried the burned CD on more than one computer?
2) Have you tried to burn the CD on a different computer?

In other words, I suspect hardware failure on either the burning or
reading drive.

Ok, I can't remember if we've gone over this one or not.  I can't seem
to
burn a properly working Ubuntu CD anymore.  I get this over and over
again
while loading the live cd:

end_request: I/O error, dev sr0, sector 1432224
Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block 358056

and this shows up in dmesg:

EVENTUALLY the live cd loads, but installs are nearly impossible.
