Thanks for the discussion about DTV the past few days.

Right now i don't own any sort of antenna. (Since i've subscribed to 
cable in the past, i've not needed one.) If i can build or buy an 
antenna for less than $100 and cancel Mediacom, the antenna will have 
paid for itself in less than 4 months. It sounds like it won't be 
difficult to build one with a much smaller budget than that, so it is 
worth trying. First i'll try the the *really* cheap route of getting a 
300/75 ohm adapter and a coat hanger. I probably already have an 
adapter in my toolbox that i've forgotten about, and i certainly have a 
coat hanger that could be sacrificed...
