[Cialug] Google Gears location via wifi

It's news to me, Google Gears can now use wifi information to improve
geo location data. I personally don't understand how this can add any
improvement over normal geoip database lookup but they explicitly
mention it.

I did a quick test and it wasn't as accurate as cell tower based
location but it did put me in the right town.
