I use UltraEdit on Windows as my main programming editor at work. Just 
got an announcement that they're going to be releasing UEX - UltraEdit 
for Linux (and Mac) soon.

I usually use Quanta or Kate for PHP editing in Linux. Quanta gives you 
most of the features that UltraEdit has, but UE has some really nice 
features that I miss.
