[Cialug] Hard Drive Problems?

It looks to me like you have an error on /dev/sda (or the SCSI card).

You should backup your data ASAP and run the smart tests: 
http://www.captain.at/howto-linux-smartmontools-smartctl.php

You should also be prepared to buy another disk or two.

Should I worry?  It's a slightly old IDE drive.  Or is this something
that happens all the time?  I'm new to Fedora, and I haven't been
privy to these helpful root mailings before.  So I don't know if this
has been happening for years now and I just didn't know about.

Would you worry?
