Since we're on the subject, I just wanted to mention that anyone using
DreamHost for hosting their website gets 50Gb offsite rsync-based backup
as part of the hosting deal.  I don't know if other hosters are doing
that or not, but it's quickly getting to the point where there's no
excuse not to have an offsite backup.

Maybe he uploads his media files via bittorrent and lets the world  
mirror them. ;-)

That said, I don't think he's alone if not backing up all his media  
files off-site -- since the data isn't original the most cost  
effective data accessibility plan may be "buy it again" as opposed to  
"maintain off-site backups", particularly if the media itself is  
insurable.
