[Cialug] Help from a non-member

Hello! Glad to hear about some Iowa Linux Gurus!

I have been a linux user now for 3 years. I tried my hand an a software
raid 5 with mdadm and had it working for about 6 months before a power
outage brought havoc on my raid. I was wondering if there are any
software raid specialists in your group that could help me out. I have
been searching the internet and tried everything for the last 6 months
with no successful fixes.

I am at the point that I would drive anywhere to have someone look at my
box to get my data back. All I really want is my data back, ie family
videos, pictures, personal documents.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
