Have you looked into www.ciacug.org ?
It used to be in the Nevlen center in Ankeny.
The lack of volunteers is part of the reason why they down sized.
Don C. might be able to fill you in better than what I can, since the
randomness of my job prevents me from committing to any volunteering
efforts.

I'm looking to volunteer some time to a non-profit.  techsoup doesn't
look like they're asking for volunteers.
