[Cialug] email problems

Just a guess here, but I think it's complaining because your MX record
points to pateri.com, i.e. the "top" of your DNS hierarchy.

Try pointing it to mail.pateri.com, and creating an A record for
mail.pateri.com that points to 75.170.194.215 .

You might also want to set up domainkeys or an SPF record while you're
at it.

I am trying to set up exim email services here at home on my domain,

Client host rejected: Please use SMTP relay of your ISP or setup
non-generic DNS

I have a DSL line from qwest
