I've always thought that Des Moines would make a good place for a
hyper-connected online business/organization that "gets it".  It'd be
an unassuming building downtown, no markings on the outside and off to
one corner.  Des Moines is just active enough to sustain the meatspace
needs of a business, but not so active that nosy types would intrude.
The nation's highest corporate tax rate would be worth the price of
relative anonymity for, say, an independent private intelligence
agency.
