Dear Timmy -
It's for everyone's convenience. It makes connecting to them easier since
your computer doesn't have to be told to connect to each of the separately
(as you would if they had each had different names) Once you've connected
to ONE of them you can connect automatically to ALL of them, wherever you
are in the world. Especially since their lusers...uh...I mean owners
usually have also very nicely have left security turned off as well. Be a
good citizen and share your Internet connection with everyone!
