AFAIK, Ubuntu CDs are not available for sale anywhere local, but if
you don't have a fast internet connection and can't download the CDs
I'm sure that someone in the LUG could hook you up with some or burn
you a copy if you supply the CDs.

The capability to dual boot windows and linux is built in.

No, there's no need to send any of your hard-earned money to Symantec
or anyone else.  All the security you'll need is built in.
