What is a good size for a communications closet?  Say - if you need a closet on each floor of a building, or per x number of employees.?

Obviously it depends somewhat on how densely populated the floor is, the total size of the floor, and how many total ports will be on the floor.

Is there a rule of thumb?  Does anybody have any guidance on ventilating communications closets?  How small is too small?
