Big Oil is not stupid; if crude gets expensive enough (and hard enough
to find), I think they will just mutate into Big Nuke, and keep out
upstart nuclear competitors via the aforementioned regulatory capture
politics.  Mmm, state-granted monopoly for fun and profit! :-)
