Yeah, I have a hard time explaining those old-timey media to younguns,
or even regular people of my own age group (I'm 26).

I haven't really touched IRC in a while, but I still bumble around on
usenet at times.  Google groups seems to be a pretty good client these
days.  Back in the day, I preferred a desktop app, though -- I mainly
needed good base64/uudecoding for some alt.binaries.* browsing, ;-)
