[Cialug] KVM switches: recommendations?

Ha.. My boss had similar issues with his old Belkin KVM... He was the type to use meta keys when selecting text, and the Belkin would just magically "let go" of the meta key resulting in various issues.. Only KVM I've been happy with is Raritan, but that isn't quite a home KVM either :-D

I had a Belkin KVM switch for my desk at work and I would NOT
recommend it, especially if you use the control key a lot (I'm an
Emacs user, so I do). It had a hard coded behavior that would switch
between computers when the control key was held down. If I had been
able to remap the key to something else I would have liked it a lot
but the Belkin firmware didn't allow you to do that.
I didn't replace it with anything because I'm trying to reduce the
number of computers underneath my desk by using virtualization to
create development servers, rather than keeping a number of old PCs
under my desk.
