[Cialug] OT: Any good reason not to kill land phone line?

don't use neither cable TV or satellite.
yes, my water meter is hooked to phone line. I just call water dept. and
they say it's not a problem they have solution for it.

I have family plan wit T-mobile (1000 minutes/month) and actually, all
my long distance calls I used cell - minutes are already free.
But, I have a lot international calls and it was main reason - until I
signed up with long distance company and now I have int. calls through
my cell with same rates as using land phone.
as far as I can see - there is "no" reason not to do it?
