I would drop my home phone service, but I have reception issues. I've considered a BDA like the SpotWave though... Sprint is also has a device called the Airave on trial in some markets - it is a micro cell site that backhauls your calls and 1X data over VoIP..

I have never had a land line. My parents had one, but I bought a cell
phone before I moved out. To me the very idea that you'd want to call
a *building* rather than a *person* seems a bit bizarre.
