Josh,

Good points.
Your position is only available to those you want it to be - those you give
your id and name to.  - of course there are likely to be ways around that
for those with a nefarious bent.
One suggested use is as a "poor man's lojack" device.  Leave it in your car
and see where your car is at any time.  (That might be a wake-up call for
teenagers)

I have to admit, to me, the GPS feature is not as appealing as the low-cost
internet-anywhere is.  As a privacy advocate I can think of very few cases
where I would want people to know where I am (even the wife - heh).
