  I do all my configuration from the command line or scripts, but use
whereami http://debiana.net/whereami to automatically configure my
wireless and other networking properly as I visit various known
networks.  The only time I have to use iwconfig is when visiting unknown
networks, and those I usually end up adding to whereami.
