[Cialug] Time change?

We're checking that all patches are applied... to everything.
I break it down this way:
OS level - This covers your standard system patches, and reboots where
needed. Both Novell and RedHat are recommending "restarting all
effected services, to be sure, just reboot the server". Where patches
are not available (Older Linuxes, Windows 2000 and below), we are doing
manual fixes.
Application level - This covers any specific apps that might be
effected. We apply the patches and restart the app. The ones we've
been watching are Exchange/Outlook, GroupWise, and billing systems in
24h industries like Health Care and Manufacturing. We are also
concerned about syncing to PDAs, as that could effect appt times or in
some cases duplicate/delete the appointment. If you're running a *pilot
sync on Linux, be sure to test this, there have been problems before.
Code level - Since we do write some code, we had to do a quick code
audit for hard-coded DST changes. This has mostly been a problem with
time tracking for 24 hour employees.
The big thing to be aware of is that not everything has patches, and
that even when we patch, there's no way to know with certainty what will
occur on the 11th. That's why we'll all be On Call for that weekend.
