[Cialug] Quake

I'm trying to play Quake 1 on Ubuntu 7.04.  I followed the instructions here:

and I get this:

Using XFree86-VidModeExtension Version 2.2
Xlib:  extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
qkHack: Error couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered, Depth visual

Something is amiss with my X, right?  For one thing, I'm pretty sure
I'm not using XFree86, but Xorg.  Any idea on how I can get this to
run?  Maybe I just need to recompile the glquake game engine?
