Oh.

Then you just plug in the usb-serial converter, and plug the other end
of it into the db9 on the server.  Once you plug in the USB serial
converter, it just shows up as a COM port, and you'd use it like you
use any COM port.  Run hyperterminal or whatever you normally use.

Look for any COM port with a number higher than 2.  Use the Windows
Device Manager if you have trouble figuring out which one corresponds
to your dongle.
