[Cialug] Evolution and iCal

So, what I am saying, is stop trying to use CalDAV in Evolution and  
switch it to use WebDAV instead, since you say CalDAV is not running  
on your server, but earlier you said you were using CalDAV to  
connect. I believe the transport mechanisms in WebDAV and CalDAV are  
similar if not identical, but CalDAV was built with extended  
calendaring support.

Mozilla Calendar is a very old version of what has become Sunbird.  
There are Linux binary packages on the site:

http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/

Though you don't get to use apt upgrade or update at least you don't  
have to compile.
Hopefully they'll get the same update functions that Firefox and  
Thunderbird have now soon.
