For example, when it was downlaoding updates, the network connection dialog showed receiving and disconnecting repeatedly during the receipt of each update file. That's what clued me on it. 

When I went to go to google, it was like it kept trying to connect. Under an http connection, it can't be interrupted or it will have to start all over. I knew it could reach the internet because it had downloaded the updates just fine.

Does that make sense? I couldn't think of what tool to use to troubleshoot this so I posted to the list.

Can you be more specific?  What are the symptoms?  For example, do you
see the problem when downloading a large file?  Or is that fetching
web pages comes up error often?  What exactly are you seeing?
