That is happening. I drive up to the Twin Cities every few months. The 
last time i made the trip (late October) there was yet another windmill 
farm under construction. I don't think there were any visible from the 
highway when i first came to Iowa (or maybe there was 1 and i'm getting 
forgetful in my old age), but now there are 3 or 4. They are kind of 
neat to see at night when they appear just to be a large field of 
bright red blinky lights.
