[Cialug] Xubuntu question

It times out and says the server took too long to respond.

But I can download updates through Synaptic Package Manager. I can look 
at websites through Konqueror, but I like Firefox better. I can ping 
outside the network. So It is something with firefox and the browsers I 
mentioned. Somehow they are not able to connect to the webservers. I am 
not sure why that would be. Especially if Konqueror could do it.

Confused!!
