[Cialug] Moodle??

HI.  I wondered if any of you have tried Moodle?  I'm fairly new at

development.   On my own time I have been tasked to help create and
re- create some web pages for an on- line learning group.  I found a
book
on this software published by O'Reilly's.  Since I really trust them,
I
decided to take a look.  I've found a place in Texas that will host
the
site at a very reasonable price. . backups, security, all that.  For
around $700 a year.  I want to do some development before we decide if
that's what we want.

SO, just wondered if anyone has played with this software? and if so,
how did it go?  Also, I think I can use this suite to do the entire
website.  Again, I'm new so I'll just begin and see how far I get.

 I'll be setting it up at home over this weekend.
