[Cialug] Hosting web sites

I have several apache virtual hosts configured already, so that answers my
question.  I'm going to set up Joomla and charge a monthly fee for hosting
it.  It says it runs on PHP 5 and MySQL 4.1 and that's exactly what I have
on my SUSE Linux 9.3 Professional machine.

They all can. What you are talking about is a function of your apache
configuration and not the OS. You can google "apache virtualhosts" for
more information.

There isn't any differance in the config for "commercial" or "personal"
sites,  although, an ISP may tweak some apache and/or filesystem
settings for a heavily loaded webserver.
