I think windows vista is going to be a bonanza for Dave and others like us
who don't need a gaming-type machine to run a shiny interface.  They claim
Christmas 2006 so we will see.  It may be Christmas for Linux people then.
Save your pennies.

I get a kick out of people asking what they should upgrade on a machine 
when they buy one of the $2k dell machines. They are going to play on the 
internet and download spyware, something $300 or up will satisfy you for 
the next few years.
