Just IMHO, but I think you're over-reacting. The Senator was talking
nonsense, and I think it is justified to point it out.
As far as the issue about emails taking 4 days to be delivered - that
has nothing to do with how congested "the internet" is, and everything
to do with how the individual ISP handles incoming mail. I've seen this
behaviour with several of the larger ISP's - messages to them will sit
in my outgoing mail queue for days before they finally get accepted.
